Many people are starting to get their stimulus payment as part to the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act especially those who have direct deposit already set up with their banks.
To check the status of your payment, use the IRS/Department of Treasury tool Get My Payment. This link also allows you to check your bank account and direct deposit information.

Social Security, SSDI and SSI recipients should receive their payments automatically. If you receive SSI, you will receive a full payment of $1200.00 and not the $600.00 originally proposed.
